We have cooled down a lot of the planned Abyssea runs, and I apologize about that. This is due to the over capacity of the majority of our runs. Having more than 18 people going to one zone is a bit overbearing. Many have complained over only going after certain NMs that don't involve their drops. You must understand that we can't fight every single NM at once. This is why majority of our runs last for hours.
A lot of "Low-Man" runs are not a part of the LS events. They do not follow our lotting rules. You will not receive any form of attendance from these runs. These runs usually have set NMs and set rewards for each member prior to the run. I understand that people will request to join some of these runs, after they have already gathered and started. It is very difficult to accommodate more people than it was originally planned. If your request was denied, I apologize. It is highly likely they have enough people, and don't require any more. Please do not be offended by this, many are told that the run is full. You have to understand that many spend a lot of time working on Time Extensions. If you don't have enough abyssea time to do a said event, the leaders/members can't pity this.
A lot of hopeful members feel mistreated with the lotting/NMs. If you feel this way please consider these things.
Talk to the Leader of the event before the run starts about what they are killing and who is lotting.
Helping on a run is usually recognized (especially when you do a good job).
Your main item drops. If lotting is happening, mention that you have that job as your main.
There are a lot of runs where many people don't get what they want.
There are always future runs.
If your item drops and another member is allowed to lot but you aren't, there is usually a good reason behind it. You may have come late to that event and it was already planned that the member will get that item. The member has been to a lot more events, and maybe even helped that group more than you did. Some don't understand that a lot of members have spent a lot of their own time assisting others. Also some don't understand that lotting and NMs are planned before a run even starts. This is why you should ask about this info, and not think that you will get to lot a specific item. If you don't get the right answer or even a reply, understand that all items are covered and nothing will go free lot. It's nothing personally against you as a player.
A few people "loot whore". It may not be all too bad to you, but it may not be helpful in the long run. People don't want to compete with every member in that event. You have a main job and a secondary. Although if another member could use that item more than you, consider passing it for them. Favors such as that sometimes come back. Being a loot whore is a quick way of getting denied on a lot of low-manned runs. Don't lot on a job that you don't have or are planning to level in the future.
You can do your own events, but don't be a hog with all the drops. Understand that you what people to continue to join your events. Here's how:
Plan out the runs.
Understand how you can accommodate yourself as well as those that are helping you.
Work on Time Extensions and Lights during the start of the run.
Have a balanced party with the correct procing jobs.
Make some friends who will come out to your runs.
A lot of these leaders understand these simple points, and when you run an event you will understand them also.
